This entrance sign for the new California African American Museum located near the LA Coliseum is made from 1/2 inch thick sandblasted glass that is fritted and laminated. The CAAM logo is sandblasted clear glass mounted onto a stainless steel metal frame. Fabricated cast metal letters that are 3 inches thick are stud mounted to the 35 foot high stainless steel metal cabinet. Fritted glass is tempered glass with a ceramic based paint permanently bonded onto the glass during the tempering process.
